Sparkling Water compatibility¶
Older versions of Enterprise Steam do not support later versions of Sparkling Water engines.
The following text describes solutions for incompatible engines.
Engines version 3.32.0.1 or higher¶
Enterprise Steam version 1.8.0 and lower does not support Sparkling Water engines version 3.32.0.1 or higher.
Launching cluster will fail with the following event log:
Cluster status: STARTING -> FAILED: reason: starting H2O insparkling water session: error connecting Pysparkling: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named ‘h2o’: Traceback (most recent call last):: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named ‘h2o’: statement error
You have two options to resolve this issue. Either upgrade to Enterprise Steam 1.8.1 or higher or repackage Sparkling Water engine using the following script before uploading it to Enterprise Steam.
Engines version 3.28.1.1 or higher¶
Enterprise Steam version 1.6.5 and lower does not support Sparkling Water engines version 3.28.1.1 or higher.
Engine upload will fail with the following error:
Sparkling engine upload: archive is not a valid sparkling water archive
You have two options to resolve this issue. Either upgrade to Enterprise Steam 1.6.6 or higher or repackage Sparkling Water engine using the following script before uploading it to Enterprise Steam.
